A bit about myself…

Early Years

Much like the colourful creations that I bring to life my journey as an artist has been a vibrant and winding one. Born in London, I was surrounded by creativity from the start.

My mother, a dedicated nurse, and my father Michael McCarthy, a successful film director, instilled in me a passion for both compassion and artistry.

Though my father’s life was tragically cut short when I was young, I carry his legacy with me, even having a small role in his last film, “Operation Amsterdam.”

Creative Spirit

Growing up, I was drawn to the world of acting, but my love for music and art ultimately led me down a different path. I honed my skills as a pianist and singer, embarking on a 20-year musical adventure that took me from the Bahamas to the US, Europe, and the UAE

Eventually, I returned to the UK, seeking new avenues for my creative spirit. I found joy in crafting and selling unique jewellery in Camden Market and the vibrant lanes of Brighton. It was in Brighton that I rekindled my childhood love for portrait painting, a passion that had always simmered beneath the surface.

Vibrant Artistic Communities.

In 1998, I sought new inspiration under the Mediterranean sun, first in Mallorca and then in the charming town of Nerja, Southern Spain. I continued to paint, create jewelry, and even contribute to fashion shows, immersing myself in the vibrant artistic communities.

The digital world opened up new possibilities in 2006 when I joined Etsy. My flamboyant, colourful style resonated with art lovers, particularly in America, and my online shop thrived.

And Today…

Life brought me back to the UK permanently in 2020, where I continue to share my artistic vision with the world through Etsy and my social media.

I live in the lovely town of Nantwich, Cheshire and I specialise in creating bespoke, hand-painted pet portraits that truly capture the unique personality of your furry friends.

Whether it’s your dog, cat, horse, or any other beloved pet, I pour my heart and soul into each portrait, ensuring every detail reflects their spirit. With a deeply personal touch and a passion for animals, I’m here to turn your pet’s photo into a cherished, timeless keepsake.
